On Monday, South Africans found out about the passing away of the role model of many presenters, Vinolia “V-Mash” Mashego. The all-round entertainer passed at the age of 56 in her Mamelodi home. She was recently working as the host of Moja Love’s ‘Bheka Sikbambile’ before she passed away.

Zahara went on to post a picture of a headline that was formerly released on the Drum Magazine on her Instagram. The story spoke about Vinolia Mashego being broken, suicidal and alone. The former Jam Alley host also spoke about how she has suffered enough and would take any job. Zahara wanted to make the point that people only supposedly care about V-Mash because she passed away. “She suffered alone, no one wanted to help her…No one cared…Now she is no more, everyone pretend like they cared,” says Zahara.

V-Mash’s father told ‘Drum Magazine’ that she passed away in her sleep. The family received a call from her neighbours when they didn’t see her coming out in the morning as she usually does. “They know she suffers from asthma, so they were worried and quickly gave me a call to check if she was okay,” says Collin Mashego, V-Mash’s father. She lived alone in her RDP house in Mamelodi.
