One Groove Drops Explosive Second Single “BOOM”

One Groove has returned with its second release, and this time the volume is cranked all the way up. The new single, “BOOM,” is a bold collaboration between Una Rams, Amunda, and Zanah Afrikan. It fuses genres, cultures, and energies into a track that embodies freedom, movement, and unapologetic expression.

The track was born at the 2024 AmaGroove camp, a residency where artists were placed in new daily studio sessions with different collaborators. When Una Rams, Amunda, and Zanah Afrikan landed in the same session, the chemistry was instant. Amunda laid down the beat, and the rest unfolded naturally.

“BOOM” follows the success of One Groove Label’s debut single “All Yours” by Chipego. Both songs come out of the same residency that united artists from South Africa and Denmark, hosted by One Groove in partnership with the Riky Rick Foundation, AUTOR, Nirox Foundation, Koda Kultur, and the Danish Foreign and Cultural Ministries.

The Spirit of “BOOM”
The single captures everything the AmaGroove Residency is designed to foster: risk-taking, multicultural fusion, and raw creativity. Amunda, the Danish ARIA Award winner and SAY-nominated producer, says the record reflects the spirit of the camp itself. “It’s about freedom, liberation, collaboration, and letting go.”

Una Rams, the Grammy-winning South African singer-songwriter and producer who has collaborated with Idris Elba and Black Coffee, adds that “BOOM” is about youthful energy and rebellion. “It’s about being free, living in the moment, and breaking rules just because it feels good.”

Zanah Afrikan, a South African hip hop artist recognized for mixing introspective lyrics with African cultural influences, highlights the track’s infectious pull. “BOOM naturally invites you to dance and sing along. Let the music take control.”

A Cross-Cultural Anthem
Musically, “BOOM” blends electronic dance, old-school electro, and multilingual lyrical delivery. Each artist brings a distinct flavor, creating a song that is playful, rebellious, and hard to classify. Its global sound defies borders, with verses switching between languages and rhythms designed to pull you onto the dance floor.
