Meeting some of the greatest people around the world is something that dreams are made of. And the wildest dream happened for renowned vocalist Nomcebo Zikode. The musician got to sit down with one of the most legendary soccer stars.
The musician got to chill and speak with the legendary Didier Drogba. The ‘Jerusalema’ vocalist shared a video of her and the world renowned soccer star having a conversation. The musician and the soccer star got to see each other in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. The musician got to ask the legendary soccer star how he gets to stay focused despite being such a huge soccer star. “I think, it’s really simple…for me I believe all this is a game. It’s like you’re living two lives, one that you know where you come from and what you know now. Like for me, I grew up in the poor township and before I became who I am known to be I was just Didier,” says Didier Drogba.
The soccer star spoke about how he was seen before and after becoming the star he is. “I was coming here in the city centre, nobody paying attention to me, but then six months later I come back I get celebrated. So, never forget where you come from because one day they won’t show you on TV anymore,” says the soccer legend. He goes on to say that he still chills with people that he used to chill with and acts the same before fame.
