Legendary Maskandi Hitmaker Sphuzo Sabantwana Dies At Age 65. Maskandi iconic has passed away, his Manager, Sakhile Cele announced in a post on Facebook, and following were the condolences of fans to the family of the bereaved. Details surrounding Sphuzo’s death are still unclear. Sphuzo who stole the hearts of many with his impressive singing skills.

He caught the attention of artists like Sjava and Black Coffee who tried to locate him and get him into the studio. Although the 65-year-old talented music act didn’t care when he finally got the chance to grace the stage in his later years. The KZN MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, Hlengiwe Mavimbela paid tribute to the icon on social media with a post captioned: “It is with great sadness to learn of the passing of the legendary Maskhandi hitmaker Sphuzo Sabantwana, may his soul Rest In Peace @ArtsKZN.”

On the news of his death, Sjava expressed his condolence, although the facts about the cause of his death are yet to be revealed by the concerned parties.
