MacG Dropped By Gaming Sports Group That Was Responsible For Licensing His Content
MacG Dropped By Gaming Sports Group That Was Responsible For Licensing His Content. Podcast and Chill with MacG has gained over 10k subscribers after he lost the Old Mutual sponsorship. He has now been dropped by yet another contributor to his show, which is a gaming sports group SupaBets who were responsible for licensing his content on SupaTV.
The SupaBets marketing director; Sindiswa Metsing released a long statement which read: “Please be informed that SupaTV is suspending the airing of all MacG’s content on its channel while an internal investigation is being conducted. He will also be asked to remove the SupaTV sign-up link and branding on his YouTube channel until further notice.”
However, MacG’s fanbase; “The Chillers” is still dramatically growing since he was dropped by both Old Mutual and now SupaBets. His channel Podcast and Chill with MacG currently has over 125k subscribers. His fans don’t support his transphobic comments, however they love his authenticity, honesty as well as the content he deliver.
While MacG and his co-podcasters; Sol Phenduka have apologised for their homophobic comments on the podcast, he was recently trending on social media after the comments he made about celebrities, more especially Thando Thabethe after the Old Mutual saga, this might have cost him his second deal with SupaBets
