Major League DJz Explain Why Amapiano Genre Need More Sponsors. Major League DJz have taken to social media to share their view on Amapiano genre. Amapiano sound has since taken a toll from the day it became famous and is currently doing good in terms of streaming numbers as well as dominating in other African countries too. The duo Major League mentioned that they wonder when brands and companies will start putting money into it. They stated that Amapiano genre is doing good on streaming platforms and about to be the biggest sound to come out of the African continent, to the world at large.

Taking to their Twitter account, the duo posted a thread: “Amapiano is doing crazy numbers across all platforms… itunes, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube…the works.. I wonder when brands will start putting money into this genre/ culture.. the sound is out of this world and it’s about to be the biggest sound to come out of AFRICA.”

The duo who are also making waves in the Amapian genre further explains that the sound needs to be sponsored and represented well to the world. “Amapiano needs more partnerships and sponsors to export it amazing well to the world,” wrote the duo.

The duo recently released a song titled “Di Naledi” feautirng Mpho Sebina, which has a twist of Amapiano sounds, taken off their new “Pianocella” project. The duo also did an Amapiano remix of the song with Nasty C and Rowlene titled SMA where they made amazing records with it.
