Prince Kaybee Explains Why There’s No Need To Respect Celebs
Prince Kaybee Explains Why There’s No Need To Respect Celebs. Award-winning DJ and music producer Prince Kaybee gave advice which became an ongoing debate. Kaybee advised South Africans on celebrity culture, not to put any celebrity in high regard as not much is known about what they do behind closed doors and said there is no need to respect celebrities “if there’s no personal encounter for them to earn your respect”.
Taking to Twitter, the “Fetch Your Life” hitmaker reminded fans that celebrities had no power over them and that there was no need to respect them. In a tweet, Kaybee posted: “Celebrities hold no power over you, no need to respect them if there’s no personal encounter for them to earn your respect because someone would donate to charity and still abuse women. Just appreciate talent and move because you don’t know what happens behind closed doors.”
Many believe the tweet is directed to the issue of rape which was a hot topic on social media last week following news that the National Prosecuting Authority will not be prosecuting DJ Fresh and Euphonik. One fan commented: “He doesn’t say that, sometimes we mix loving the artist music and loving them personally, which makes it difficult to switch and believe when things like this happen. That’s why we have stans who defend even without proof.”
Another fan who agreed with Kaybee wrote: “For the first time ever, I agree with you Project Hope. No one should defend something they don’t know. What we see is not what they really are. In short ngithi, sifuna iDocumentary yabo ku 1 Magic.”
