Shekhinah Unveils The ‘Fixate’ Short Film. South African singer and songwriter Shekhinah released the music video for her new single titled “Fixate” featuring Bey T on the 14th of February. However, the music video is described as a short film and is now available on YouTube. The music video visuals were directed by Monde Gumede and shows Shekhinah exploring the notion of being a team player in both the artistic and athletic sense. The single comes from “Trouble In Paradise” which is the title of her upcoming album that was delayed last year
The visuals opens up with her in a room as she pens the lyrics in what looks like diary and suddenly runs out of the room with scenes that relate to being a team player. Her being a team player includes playing tennis, being interviewed by the media and showcasing dancers. The star took to social media to announce that the highly anticipated Fixate short film is finally out.
The film also concludes with a teasing of Shekhinah’s upcoming single called ‘Insecure’ (3:35 mark) in another sparkling showcase from the album ‘Trouble in Paradise’.
Bonnie Mbuli also showed her appreciation to the short film and she was also featured as one of the dancers. She took to Twitter and posted a video of herself dancing on Fixate short film, captioned: “The Mbuli last born @koketsombuli does it again, this time for @shekhinahd video #Fixate ,also there’s nothing Sis can’t do, she’s just good at everything.”
