Tresor Riziki To Release An Amapiano Inspired Album. Afro-pop musician Tresor has joined forces with the Scorpion Kings to create an amapiano inspired 14-track album titled Ramble in the Jungle due for release in February 2021. With most of his songs having an afro-pop type of sound, Tresor expressed that sliding into the amapiano wave was a step out of his comfort zone.
Explaining his partnership with Maphorisa, Tresor said: “Our partnership started during the lockdown. Around last year March we were working on a brand campaign Maphorisa and I, and for the first time I sang on an amapiano song, Maphorisa heard it and he was like, ‘Whoa, bro! I think we need to work on a project together. And it just happened I was very busy at the time with a bunch of things to do but later we got together and we started working on one song that I recorded in my house. I would send them ideas and now we have a whole full album.”
The star took to Instagram to share the a snippet of the video captioned: “SCORPION KINGS x TRESOR -Funu Video OUT Now. @thekingofamapiano @djmaphorisa Thanks to all involved.”
The music video of his song titled Funu was released on the 18th of January 2021 and Tresor hopes people will love the 14-track album.
“With the amapiano sound being quite different, I was up for the challenge because I love thinking of new ideas that make me grow as an artist. It definitely takes me back as an artist, it definitely takes me back to the roots — and I love it … I really love the vibe,” Tresor added.
