Babes Wodumo Reveals How Much She Used To Make In A Weekend At The Peak Of Her Career. Singer and choreographer Babes Wodumo made waves with her hit song Wololo featuring Mampintsha released in 2016, which made her become a force to be reckoned with in the music industry being nominated in two categories at the MAMAs (MTV Africa Music Awards) for the ‘Song Of The Year’ And Best Breakthrough Act. The star was appearing at festivals and events, which according to her she used to make a million in one weekend.
In an interview with MacG on podcast and chill with MacG, Wodumo revealed that at the peak of the career, she used to be booked for close to eight gigs in one weekend. “I used to make make around R150 000, R120 000, I wasn’t playing games, can you imagine how much I would make with gigs. On weekends maybe I would have 8 gigs, how much would that be? I would make a million… I was too much of a bustard. You can count R150 000 multiplied by four gigs that I would have on a Friday, on Saturday I have three gigs and on Sunday I have 2 gigs, imagine all that money,” she said.
