Makhadzi Announces New Collaboration With Mufasa. The energetic musician and dancer has been around the block for over 10 years now as she started performing at the age of 13. Makhadzi is one musician one can say comes from humble beginnings but despite all odds, made it. Makhadzi has been blowing up the music idustrywith her hit songs and stage performances that have always impressed Mzansi and made them dance. From releasing songs that created dance challenges, to winning song of the year including collaborations that never dissapoints. The Limpopo born Makhadzi has collaborated with the likes of MasterKG, Mr Brown, Nomcebo Zikode, DJ Tira, and some of the big industry names.
Not so long ago, the Murahu hit maker shared her willingness to work with South Africa’s hip-hop artist Cassper Nyovest and it seems those dreams have now come true. Makhadzi was beaming with excitement as she shared with her fans that indeed she and Cassper are in studio together, while growing the anticipation of both the fans of Cassper and hers. “In studio with @casspernyovest arediiii ! South Africa are you ready for new sound?,” captioned Makhadzi.
Speaking on her music journey, Makhadzi revealed that she started performing on the streets with five followers but eventually gained more by publicity. “I started on the street with five followers and they grew to 10 and 20. So God has always had a bigger plan for me. It has been a long journey. remember I would stand in front of retail stores selling my music. People started to come to town knowing that there is this little girl that gives free performances on weekends. No one took me seriously, but I kept pushing.”
She has now released albums and singles that made Mzansi fall even more in love with her sound. Makhadzi’s love for her culture is evident in a way that she infuses her identity as a proud Venda woman throughout her music. Fans cannot wait to hear what she and Cassper will come up with together but are convinced when two stars collab, only magic can be expected.
