Prince Kaybee Finally Achieves His Dream 6 Years Into His Career. Over the years, African musicians have elevated expectations at the Tiny Desk. African giants including Burna Boy, KOKOKO! and the Soweto Gospel Choir have lead to some of the most unforgettable moments in African history.

In celebration of the new compilation Rhythms of Zamunda: Music Inspired By Coming 2 America, six artists representing four countries in Africa performed a megamix of selections from the project. Kaybee was also part of the ‘Tiny Desk’ concert. Disc Jockey Prince Kaybee revealed that it has always been his dream as a musician and producer to be on Tiny Desk. The star performed “Fetch Your Life” hit single featuring Msaki.

Taking to social media, the star shared a short video of his performance with Msaki captioned: “Always been a dream of mine as a creative, musician and producer to be on ‘TINY DESK’, 6 years into my career here I am, @Msaki_ZA ENJOY: https://youtu.be/8NqSBqTQIq4.”

Nasty C opened the set on Tiny Desk alumni Ari Lennox on ‘Black and White’. All the way from Cameroon with Afrobeats flavour is a performance from Locko, and also a performance from R&B newcomer Ricky Tyler. All these artists were featured on the much anticipated American comedy film featuring Eddie Murphy.

Prince Kaybee was beaing with excitement after discovering that he is featured on the popular American film. Feeling excited to have Fetch Your Life which features songstress Msaki on the list, Kaybee took to Instagram and expressed how glad he was to see that the world is paying attention to African music. “Glad to be part of the “Coming To America” Sound Track inspired Album. THE WORLD IS WATCHING AFRICAN MUSIC. Shoutout to the fellow AFRICANS that made it on the Album,” captioned Kaybee. This comes after Def Jam US exclusively revealed the soundtrack, 16 of them being African artists.
