Ralf Gum Celebrates Ramasedi Single Success. Ralf Gum has released a new single titled ‘Ramasedi’ featuring three time Grammy awards winners Soweto Gospel Choir, making this their first ever House Music release, an inspired African Gospel song backed with Ralf’s production. The single is being well received by the fans and has already started topping charts. A day after its release, the single was already on number 28 on iTunes.
Taking to social media, Ralf and the gospel choir celebrated the single success, entering number 28 on iTunes top 200 releases South Africa all genre chart. “O H yes, we’ve charted already on @itunes @applemusic in SA,” wrote Ralf Gum.
Ralf GUM has been at the forefront of the House Music scene since three decades and has been running his label GOGO Music for two decades now, being able to present some of the most memorable House Music releases. For 2021 Ralf promised to bring us various single releases, “Ramasedi” being one of his first collaboration with Soweto Gospel Choir.
The single is also being listened to in an International country, Japan. In a video, a Japanese driver is seen recording a video listening to the song in a car in Japan, while singing along to the song. Sharing the video, Ralf wrote: “Wow Japan. we love you too #Ramasedi.”
Soweto Gospel Choir has recorded and performed with some of the world’s greatest artists including Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, and Wizkid. They also travelled throughout the world over the past 19 years, with concerts at London Festival Hall, the Sydney Opera House just to name a few.
