Sha Sha Reacts To Being Featured On ‘Coming 2 America’ Soundtrack Album. From being the first Zimbabwean to win a BET award to now having one of her song featured in an international movie. South African-based artist, Sha Sha, found her song ‘Overdue’ featuring Tellaman and Oxiade selected to be part of the much anticipated “Coming To America 2” Soundtrack Album. Sha Sha confirmed the news on Instagram on a live video. Speaking on being featured on the soundtrack, Sha Sha said she was happy to be part of the movie. The overjoyed star said that she is happy that her dreams were slowly coming into reality.
Taking to her Twitter account, Sha Sha wrote: “Super excited about this one. I still can’t believe I’m a part of this, a movie I grew up watching, insane, When God is your manager. OVERDUE @tellamanofficial x @shashaofficial1. OUT NOW. #Coming2America #RhythmsOfZamunda.”
The much anticipated comedy film, Coming 2 America, released 5 March, is directed by Craig Brewer, from a screenplay by Kenya Barris, Barry W; and the film is based on characters created by Eddie Murphy. Thee film features a number of African artists such as the likes of Nasty C, Tiwa Savage, Prince Kaybee, Sha Sha, Tekno and several others. The 16-track album comes as Def Jam U.S. collaboration with Def Jam Africa, and the aim was to curate a whole companion album to the movie’s official soundtrack to showcase African artists and their sound
