Cassper Nyovest Reveals Why He Loves How His Beef With AKA Turned Out! The latest season of the show, Behind The Story, is finally upon us and Cassper’s in-depth interview is currently sitting at number 38 on YouTube’s trending list. The host, Pearl Thusi, unpacks the lives of our most compelling personalities and now we are getting interesting views from the Baby Girl hitmaker.

Nyovest opens up about his career, his past relationships and the life lessons that continue to ring in his ear. Pearl’s questions the necessity of ego’s in the rap music scene and Cassper answered, “Sports need egos and you know, rap is a sport so everyone wants to be number one and I don’t think anybody will be happy with not being number one. At some point. someone is going to come at you if you are at the top, you know? And its very exciting for fans like, like that’s the fact.” He continues to state that without AKA and Cassper South African hip-hop would not be where it is.

He describes the early days of the beef saying, “It was so interesting [sjoe] when this thing happened, this was like two titans, this is, you know Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, this Ronaldo and Messi, it just, it had to happen, it’s just that with rap, it was direct. It was not like as friendly as football. With rap it’s like I’m better than you.”

In regards to their infamous beef, Pearl later asked if there’s anything Cassper thinks he could have done differently or wish he could’ve done differently to avoid it and he replied by saying, “Hell nah, I love that the story went like that because, I, that’s how I became the King of this, like I became Caspper because of that situation. Because I played my cards right when it happened…” In light to recent events, we are glad to hear that, even though the interview was filmed before the birth of Cassper’s son, their beef was beginning to subside.
