Ami Faku Stuns With Stellar Performance At The SAFTAS And Receives Two Nods From SAMA27 In The Biggest Categories! SA’s reigning female artist, Eastern Cape’s South African Voice of Modern Afro Soul, Ami Faku, gave a stellar performance of her latest single, Lala Ngoxolo, at the 15th annual SAFTAS that took place this past weekend.
Making a mark at her first SAFTAS, Ami Faku stunned in a custom gown dedicated to the late Mary Twala, who was an iconic figure in the South African film and television industry.
Ami Faku shares: “It was such an honour to be part of this year’s SAFTAS, especially during these hard times. I hope my performance gave solace to those who were watching.”
Ami Faku’s SAFTAS performance comes off the back of receiving two nods from SAMA27 in the biggest categories namely Record Of The Year and Music Video Of The Year for her global hit single, Uwrongo.
