Arthur Mafokate Acquitted Of Assault Against Cici: Full Statement

Arthur Mafokate Acquitted Of Assault Against Cici – The saga of the alleged abuse has finally come to its conclusion.

“king of kwaito” Arthur Mafokate was cleared in the Midrand Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday of assault charges which his previous girlfriend, singer Busisiwe “CiCi” Thwala, placed against him.

If you can still recall in March, CiCi asserted that Mafokate dragged her on the street in June the year 2017, and she was subjected to tolerate a pelvic replacement procedure due to that unfortunate incident.

Nakeng Attorneys, who represented Mafokate, said the accused maintains his innocence.

In March, Busisiwe Thwala explained to the court the quarrel began when she attempted to terminate her romantic relationship with Mr Mafokade, eNCA reported.

In her statement, she alleges that Mafokate got vexed, grabbed her phone and rushed to his car. In her attempt to get the phone, she snatched the driver’s door handle and Mafokate started the car started driving for a distance of approximately 300m, dragging her along.

Then she was admitted to hospital and had to undergo hip surgery following the alleged dissension, Times Live reported.

Now, Mafokate’s lawyer, Daniel Nakeng, explained to The Star that the court had come to a conclusion that there was no valid ground to sentence his client as there was no proof linking him to the incident.

“The court found that Ms Thwala was the aggressor. She was the one holding onto the door. It’s not like she was tied to the car and dragged. If she had let go of the door she would have not been injured,” Nakeng reportedly said.
