Hlumile Mangoloti (born 25 March 1998), professionally known as Flash iKumkani, is a South African rapper and songwriter from Peelton, King William’s Town in the Eastern Cape, where he was born and raised. He gained public recognition after releasing his song titled “Ubizo” , which received airplay on MTV Base, Trace Africa, Channel O and radio
stations across South Africa.

His single “Mhluzi” reached number 1 spot on The Stir Up’s Local Top 5 chart on 5FM; the song also reached number 3 on Metro FM’s Absolute 5 chart. The song was sitting at number 3 on trufm’s Top 30 chart, also reached number 1 on Cape Town TV’s Hype It Up Top 5 chart. The song earned him number 3 on MTV Base’s Freshman Top 5 playlist.

South African politician and activist Steve Vukhile Tshwete was a member of the African National Congress. Tshwete was a member of Umkhonto weSizwe and was imprisoned on Robben Island by apartheid forces. Flash Ikumkani is now pursuing a career as a rapper. He has currently worked with multi-award-winning artist(s) such as Emtee, Yanga chief, and many more. He’s also a superstar, hero, and an inspiration for a lot of people in the village.
