Primo9Teen, Chad Jones, No Chill God, Tsoaniskitz and other stars shine with TECNO’s CAMON 19 PRO at SASMA show

On Saturday 26 November, the much anticipated South African Social Media Awards recognised Mzanzi’s top digital content creators and personalities who use social media to engage, entertain and for social impact through the brands they work with or in their individual capacity. 

Hosted by a supremely entertaining trio, presenter extraordinaire, Weza Matomane, social media sensation and reality TV star, Thato Mokoena and multi-talented brand influencer and entrepreneur, Mohale Motaung; the second installation took to public voting for the winners in the different categories. 

Various brands such as Canon and Skyworth and premium smartphone brand, TECNO Mobile partnered with SASMA to bring promote and show support the booming digital media industry.

Select influencers including Primo9teen, Nochill-god, TsoanieSkits, Chad Jones were the lucky recipients of TECNO’s limited edition and global flagship CAMON 19 PRO. 

Chad Jones walked away with the Social Media Dominance of the Year Award while Tsoanieskits walked away with the award for Most Popular Content Across Social Media. 

@Suisferreira, who entered the TECNO competition and showcased his superior talent for content creation and his lightning-speed turnaround times, also walked away with his CAMON.

“While the device has not officially launched in the country as yet, we thought it fitting to gift this exclusive range as recognition of the excellence of these trailblazers who keep Mzansi entertained and engaged. TECNO will also be giving away a car in December, the details of which are on the brand’s social media pages.

Our partnership with SASMA was an easy and obvious choice for us, TECNO believes in celebrating young people who pursue excellence and defy the odds to achieve it, in their respective fields,” said Zikona Captain, TECNO PR Manager in South Africa.

The SASMA show was not short of entertainment as guests were also treated to a special performance by the incomparable, Ami Faku, amongst others.

Amongst others, stars who were nominated included beauty influencer Mihlali Ndamase, Media powerhouse Bonang Matheba, content creator and dancer Moghelingz as well as Khanyisa Jaceni who is both a content creator and musician.
