Twitter Reacts To Ntsiki Mazwai’s Insensitive Comment Following AKA’s Passing
Twitter reacts to Ntsiki Mazwai’s insensitive comment following AKA’s passing. Musician, poet and Activist Ntsiki Mazwai has revisited the Nellie Tembe issue following rapper AKA’s passing.
Earlier this month, Ntiski tweeted about Nellie Tembe saying, “It’s so deep how we moved on from these gruesome pics of videos that was deleted while the police like a missing docket”. Ntsiki recently took to Twitter sharing how she feels that Nellie was fighting for herself from the grave because nothing was being done about her situation. “Nellie had to fight her battle from the grave because South Africans grovel for celebs… But asikho lapho”, Ntsiki Mazwai tweeted.
Tweeps are speculating that Ntsiki was referring to the late rapper AKA. In 2021, it was reported that AKA’s fiance Nellie Tembe jumped from the 10th floor when she was with AKA in Cape Town and did not make it.
The tweet caused outrage. People on social media spoke out against the musician for being insensitive towards someone’s passing. They were calling her the female Nota for always being insensitive to sentitive matters. “Sisi please, let people love who they love, grieve who they wanna grieve for. Let the dictatorship of feelings and emotions rest. We are allowed to grieve the loss of someone we love, who made us crip, dance, pop n lock in our grooves, sit ins, and Sunday chills”, said one of her followers.
