DJ Black Coffee On His Friendship With Shimza
DJ Black Coffee on his friendship with Shimza. House music DJ and Grammy winner DJ Black Coffee spoke out about the cause of his fallout with house music DJ, Shimza.
DJ Black Coffee shared how he had a fall-out with Shimza in his interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG. He shared that as they grew up they realised that their friendship expired and started to become toxic. He further added that their relationship started to have problems when Shimza wanted to do things like him, and when he made it big, their friendship started to have issues. He also shared that their friendship has served its purpose and had ran out of time.
“We had a lot of fall-out. I just feel like as people, as we grow, sometimes we don’t realise when our friendship expired. We can meet at a time where you want to be me and when you are me, you go and be better than me. In a certain way, maybe you needed certain things and now you got those things and now let me run, that’s it. With people you need to understand when the friendship has served its purpose. Sometimes we stick around and it becomes a little toxic”, said DJ Black Coffee.
The pair tried to squash their beef. He shared that they have been going back and forth with each other. They have had conversations and spoke about what was happening amongst them. He shared that at the time they were trying to reconcile, he was going through somethings that helped him with his growth. When they held their conversations, they realised that what came between them is fame. They were struggling with fame and respecting each other’s boundaries.
“We’ve been back and forth with Shimza. The last time we had a meeting was at Oskido’s house and I was there and he came and Oskido told him that I want to talk to him and we had a conversation. I told him that given our fall- out, there are so many different small things, and I realised that what we are struggling with is fame and just learning how to respect boundaries amongst each other…”, DJ Black Coffee shared.
In aaddition, the two artists are in a good place and are no longer at loggerheads.
