Metro FM Music Awards Announced New Date For The 2023 Edition

Metro FM music awards announced new date for the 2023 edition. After a five- year break, the Metro FM music awards announced their return for 2023.

In a statement released by METRO FM on the 18th of January 2023, they stated that entries for the 2023 awards are officially opened and the closing date was on the 28th of February 2023. “The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC)’s biggest commercial radio station, METRO FM, is pleased to announce the return of their much-anticipated music awards, the METRO FM Music Awards (MMAs) 2023.

The awards were set to take place on the 29th of April 2023. The SABC recently announced that the awards will now take place on the 6th of May 2023. They shared that the 2023 edition will be hosted by the City of Mbombela in Mpumalanga province. They added that the awards will only be broadcasted live on SABC1 and on all SABC radio stations. People can also stream the awards on METRO FM’s Youtube channel and on SABC plus.

“The re-owned glamourous awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on the 29th of April 202, and will be hosted by the City of Mbombela, Mpumalanga. the ceremony will be broadcast live on SABC1 and supported by various SABC radio stations. The awards will also be streamed live on SABC plus and METRO FM’s YouTube channel”, SABC METRO FM.

The METRO FM music awards are awards that recognise and award accomplished South African artists in the music sphere. Its main aim is to celebrate and honour those that are doing well and have been doing well in the past years in the music industry and encourages collaborations and unity amongst artists in Africa.
