Babes Wodumo honored her late husband following the success of his last song. Taking to her Facebook page, Babes shared that she celebrated her husband, Gqom musician Mampintsha for his song after it received 10 million streams. The singer posted a video of herself with a bottle of champagne where Mampintsha was laid to rest. She also shared a little message for her husband on the caption congratulating him for the win.

“Today we celebrate your success on reaching 10 million streams on YouTube. So I did it the way you’d want me to. Congratulations my love, you said you will make history with this song. Thank you for respecting my idea of making this album one last time and it’s like I knew it was the last one”, Babes Wodumo had shared.

Mampintsha passed on at the age of 40 on 24th of December 2022 last year. In a statement shared by his family, it stated that Mampintsha succumbed to a stroke after he had been battling with it for a week. Before he passed, the musician released a single from his album that made trends list and made waves on the music scene.

Mampintsha and Danger made a come back as a Big Nuz duo to make the hit song Ngeke, and the song featured DJ Yamza. After its release, it topped charts and had over 1 million streams a month after it was released. It was also voted as the song of the year on Ukhozi FM and it has made a history for reaching 10 Million views in just 3 months.
