Basadi in Music Awards nominations open for the 2023 awards edition. Returning for their second edition, Basadi In Music Awards has opened their nomination process for 2023.

After a successful 2022 awards edition, the Basadi In Music Awards announced that the public can now nominate their favourite female artists for the awards. The nominations opened on the 19th of April 2023 and the closing date will soon be announced. “Special announcement. The journey to the #BasadiInmusicawards2023 has officially begun. The Basadi in Music Awards were founded in 2022 and its main aim is to celebrate and recognize women in the entertainment industry. The awards honor talents such as, singers, DJ’s, rappers, composers, producers in the music sphere. Not only do they honour women in the music industry, but they also celebrate heroic women who had a part in the liberation of women in South Africa.

The awards have quite a number of categories. It has a total of 23 categories. The categories include, artists of the year, hip hop artist of the year, gospel artist of the year, softnfree amapiano artist of the year, and jazz artist of the year just to name a few. The winners are determined by the public’s vote.
