Makhadzi’s take on a Beyonce look fails to impress black Twitter. Tweeps made fun of singer and songwriter Makhadzi’s costume following her recent posts on social media.

After Makhadzi shared pictures of herself announcing her tour on Twitter , she opened the door for critiques to critizise her outfit. In the post, Makhadzi was announcing her Zambia tour and her UK tour, but also included pictures of the outfit she wore on her one woman show and a picture of Beyonce. She then told tweeps to not mind her outfit.

“Good morning guys, I will explain the outfit later. I’m happy to announce announce my Zambia and UK tour this coming month. From 6 May I will be in Zambia. More dates loading for Zambia. 20 May I will be in the UK, more dates loading for UK”, Makhadzi tweeted.

Tweeps were vocal about how much they dislike the singer’s costume. They shared that she failed to replicate Beyoncé’s outfit. They also said that her designer did not do a good job making the outfit. Some shared that there’s no need for an explanation whilst other were still waiting for an explanation of the outfit as she said on the post. “HI Makhadzi, it’s is now later. Looking forward to hearing from you”, a tweep said.

Makhadzi is not the only artist that has been teased for the type of costumes she chooses to wear for her performances. Songstress Kelly Khumalo was also critizised for her teddy bear costume she wore at Somizi’s 50th birthday.
