Murdah Bongz Celebrates A Year Of Being A Solo Artist
Murdah Bongz celebrates a year of being a solo artist. House music DJ and producer Murdah Bongz rejoice on hitting 1 year as a solo artist.
After rumours were going around in 2022 about the split of the duo called Black Motion that consist of Murdah Bongz and Thabo Mabogwane, the pair shared a statement sharing that they did not split. They also shared that Murdah Bongz has rebranded himself and wants to focus on his career as a solo artist and he will still remain a part of Black Motion.
“The only change which does not affect the duo is that Murdah has rebranded himself from Murdah to Morda. This is because he is preparing to launch his solo career as a DJ, but still remains part and parcel of Black Motion”, Black Motion had shared.
Following that statement, things did not seem to be going well amongst the two. It was alleged that Murdah Bongz broke in a house that they used as a studio and a office and stole studio equipment including a television set, computer hard drives and studio monitors. A case of theft and housebreaking was opened against the DJ and he lost the case.
Despite the mishaps, Murdah Bongz has been doing his thing as a solo artist. He has released music and is currently doing shows. He took to his Instagram page to share that he is celebrating 1 year of being a solo artist and appreciated the people who have been by his side since the change. “One year later from the birth of Morda, it’s been a crazy ride but I didn’t do it alone. Thank you to everyone who embraced the change, I’m so inspired to do more because I know now the music is what moves us. Here’s to continuing the journey together”, Murdah Bongz shared.
