Shekhinah Insinuate Desire To Leave Her Record Label
Shekhinah insinuate desire to leave her record label. Pop music singer and songwriter Shekhinah might be ready to end things with the record label she is signed with.
Shekhinah seems to be not happy with her current record label at the moment. The singer who has been signed with record label Sony Music took to her Twitter page to share that she desires to be free from the record label. She retweeted a tweet which read, “Life sucks but at least I’m free from that l*bel”. She quoted the tweet saying, “Sbwl“.
In 2017, the singer signed with Sony Music. She took to her Facebook page to share her excitement and was looking forward to working with the label. She started working with the label and released her debut album with them called Rose Gold. “Sony and me, finally! The results inevitably here will be rosey. Happy to see we’re in motion and it’s time to snatch people’s wigs and grills. PS. Thanks everyone for their patience and support, my album is on its way”, Shekhina had shared.
Industry peers were in support of the singer for wanting to part ways with the record label whilst tweeps were questioning her about what is exactly going between her and the label and urged her to speak out. Others shared that artists cannot continue being exploited by their record labels and the should be an organization that protects artists. “Why does this keep happening to artists? This kind of exploitation has been ongoing for decades now. Why isn’t there some organization protecting them? It’s so sad to watch”, a tweep said.
Quite a number of artists have been parting ways with their record labels and some had shared their frustrations with their record labels. House music DJ and producer Prince Kaybee recently announced that he is no longer signed with the record label Universal Music. He shared that he is elated that he is finally free.
