Simphiwe Dana doubtful new music will top her previous work. Afro soul songstress Simphiwe Dana is hesitant to make new music as she feels like nothing will ever top her catalogue.
Making music that will capture people’s heart and top charts can be hard sometimes. Simphiwe Dana is one of the artists that is uncertain about releasing new music as she feels like nothing will surpass her past work. Taking to her Twitter page, Simphiwe shared that she is heading back to studio to work on new music. She also added that the is a feeling of uncertainty lingering and she thinks that her new work will never be better that her previous work. “Time to go back to studio… Never can feel I can top songs I’ve written in the past, but let’s see” Simphiwe Dana tweeted.
She further added that creating something beautiful is hard as she always want to produce a masterpiece and strives for perfection. She stated that she only wants to create something that will be passed down to future generations. “Beauty is such a hard thing. I want to bring you beauty always, something you can relegate to your children”, Simphiwe Dana tweeted.
Simphiwe Dana’s already existing catalogue is filled with exceptional work. The singer has released successful singles, albums and has secured numerous awards. Her debut album released in 2004 titled Zandisile gained recognition in the Billboard charts and received an AVO Session Basel Award. She last released an album in 2020 which is the fifth album titled Bamako.
Fans and supporters were begging the singer to drop her new music as they have been waiting for a new release.
