Tweeps react to Unathi Nkayi reportedly earning 80K at Kaya 959. With the alleged salary that musician and radio personality Unathi Nkayi received at Kaya 959 blasted on Twitter, tweeps added their views about the information.

Tweeps had mixed reactions following a tweet that shared how much Unathi earned monthly at Kaya 959. Taking to Twitter, a tweep shared the alleged salary the radio personality was receiving on a monthly basis when she was still with the radio station which amounts to R81 250. “Unathi Nkayi’s monthly salary from Kaya FM was R81 250”, a tweep said.

Unathi Nkayi was a former employee of Kaya 959. She had been a broadcaster for the radio station for a year until her contract was terminated with immediate effect in 2021. In a statement released by Kaya 959, they said that her contract was terminated due to ” certain conduct that rendered the relationship into reliable going forward.

Tweeps took to the comment section to share how they feel about Unathi earning that amount of money. Some shared that she was not paid enough and she deserved better as she one of the best broadcasters in South Africa with numbers. They also shared that her status is worth way more. “That’s normal. I expected it to be more, she has been in the industry for so long. She is a very talented broadcaster, she is deserving of a nice salary”, a tweep said.

Others were shocked by the musician’s previous salary and felt she was getting a lot of money for someone who worked for short hours. They elaborated saying that they still do not understand why she was worth so much money. “She worked for 3 hours a day, 5 times a week, that’s a ridiculous amount”, a tweep said.

Unathi has not responded to the claims of her previous salary she earned when she was still with Kaya 959.
