Taking to his Twitter page, Zizi Kodwa shared a series of pictures and videos of his celebration with a caption saying, “Zola 7 got a special call today from the first citizen earlier. We appreciate his talent ad contribution to the social development of our country. I am meeting up with him this afternoon to wish him a wonderful birthday”.

Tweeps reacted to the post and added their observations. Whilst some were wishing the former kwaito star a happy birthday and commending the minister for such a nice gesture, some were criticizing what the minister had done. They shared that Zola 7 blew his money and he is now getting rewarded for that. They further added the minister is throwing parties for Zola 7 and not addressing the issues that are affecting the entertainment industry.

Not so long ago, Zola 7 was appointed as an ambassador for the Creative Sector. They chose Zola 7 as he has made a huge impact in the entertainment sphere. Following his appointment, some tweeps were not happy about the decision to appoint the musician. They shared their thoughts on the matter and were questioning the minister.
