DJ Cleo Shares His Dream Of Winning A Grammy Award

DJ Cleo shares his dream of winning a Grammy award. Kwaito DJ and producer DJ Cleo expressed his desire to win the prestigious accolade. 

It every artist’s dream to make it to the international stages and receive prestigious and renowned awards. A number of South African musicians have been awarded a Grammy award including, DJ Black Coffee, Nomcebo Zikode, Zakes Bantwini and Wouter Kellerman just to name a few. DJ Cleo also wants to add on the list of South African musicians who collected their Grammy accolade.

Taking to his Twitter page, the DJ shared that he recently achieved one of his goals which was to graduate. On the 24th of April 2023, DJ Cleo graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Now he wants to fulfill another dream of his which is winning a Grammy. Speaking it into existence, he stated that he will win a Grammy award in 2025. He further added saying he is working hard to make this dream a reality but had to pause due to the passing of his mentor.

“April 24 I woke up a graduand. April 25 I woke up a graduate and a future Grammy award winner (2025). It’s been months of hard work, paused by the passing of my mentor and guardian Graeme Squire Gilifilan. May 27th we lay him to rest and the journey continues. It’s possible”, DJ Cleo tweeted.

DJ is one of the Kwatio music veterans who gave fans good music in their prime. The kwaito hitmaker continues to drop good music and has been undoubtedly working tirelessly on his craft. He had been sharing on his socials details of his gigs and has been doing shows around the country. He recently released his first single for 2023 titled Bayezweni featuring Ayanda Ntanzi and has already made waves in digital platforms.
