Tweeps Dig Up Zandile Khumalo’s Old Interviews Following Her Testimony In The Senzo Meyiwa Trial
Tweeps dig up Zandile Khumalo’s old interviews following her testimony in the Senzo Meyiwa trial. Singer and songwriter Zandile Khumalo has been scrutinized following her testimony during Senzo Meyiwa’s trial.
Tweeps continued to slam Zandile even after the testimony. Earlier this week, she received backlash after she made cheeky comments during the trial on her Instagram page. She was also slammed for requesting that the media not be allowed to record or broadcast her testimony.
Tweeps added their observations after a video posted by Newzroom Africa of Zandile’s testimony made rounds on Twitter. Zandile took a stand in court for her testimony on the 18th of May 2023 Wednesday as Senzo Meyiwa’s trial continues. Adding their comments, they were bashing the singer for contradicting herself with reference to her old interviews.
Zandile once did an interview on eNCA a few years. On the interview, the singer stated that she was not able to recognize any of the intruders that shot Senzo Meyiwa in 2014 in Kelly Khumalo’s home. (Watch video below).
In Zandile’s recent testimony, she was asked by the judge to point out amongst the 5 suspects an intruder that got inside the house when the late soccer player was shot. The singer detailed what happened that day and was able to point out the intruder. “It’s the second one, the one with the dreadlocks”, said Zandile Khumalo.
Tweeps questioned the singer’s answer and questioned how she was able to point out the intruder this time. They shared that her testimony was allegedly a lie. “She is lying. The defense will have a field day with her. She was putting a show for the cameras”, a tweep said.
I have an ask , in that exclusive interview with @Sli_Masikane Zandi Khumalo said she couldn't recognize or identify the suspects because they were wearing masks , so how did she identify accused number 2 in court today at the #SenzoMeyiwatrial #SenzoMeyiwa pic.twitter.com/lSzdE3AMap
