Zandile Khumalo receives backlash following her insolent comments during Senzo Meyiwa’s trial. Singer and songwriter Zandile Khumalo got slammed by social media after she made cheeky comments during the Senzo Meyiwa trial.
The trial of Senzo Meyiwa who was shot in 2014 at his girlfriend’s home is still on going and a number of people will be taking a stand in court since the trial commenced on the 15th of May 2023. Zandile Khumalo who is Kelly Khumalo’s sister is one of the people who will be sharing their testimonies this week. It was reported that the singer refused to have her testimony recorded and broadcasted.
Tweeps were disappointed after they heard that Zandile’s testimony will not be live. The singer trended on Twitter as they shared their frustrations. They shared that they were looking forward to hear what she had to say about the case. Others were questioning the system for giving Zandile and Kelly Khumalo special treatment during this trial.
“We as South Africans can’t just seat back and allow Zandi Khumalo and Kelly Khumalo be given special treatment. If judge Maumela allows this on Wednesday we must sign a petition to have him removed. He has been a problem ever since Adv Teffo till now. Let’s stand together #SenzoMeyiwatrial”, a tweep said.
Zandile made matters worse with her insolent instagram captions. After making trends list, the singer responded to critics who were not happy about her testimony not being broadcasted. She shared that she saw that people are angry and shared that matters are still going to be worse during this trial. “Ya’ll are mad. Things are still going to be worse, you gonna die young. Take screenshots”, Zandile Khumalo wrote.
Her comments caused more outrage and tweeps continued to throw ill remarks to the singer. They stated that she is rude and have no respect for the case. Others shared that Zandile is heartless for making such comments on a serious matter. “Then Maumela will take a dizzy ruling and support this person. She’s clearly taking this court case for a joke”, a tweep said.
