Born Thuthuka Wandile Zindlovu, Thukzin’s journey into music began in the township of Lamontville, Durban. Raised by his grandmother, he was first introduced to the world of sound through his uncle, assisting at local gigs — an early foundation that would later shape his sound.
His breakout came in 2016 with the production of Babes Wodumo’s smash hit “Umngan’wami”, a defining track in the global Gqom wave. Since then, Dlala Thukzin has remained at the forefront of innovation in South African dance music, earning acclaim for his signature fusion of Gqom, Afro-Tech, and House.
