Acoustic Element and Andre Graham Light Up the Scene with Break of Dawn

Following the success of their hit single Rebel Heart with South African star Jimmy Nevis, Cape Town’s dynamic duo Acoustic Element returns with a brand-new track, Break of Dawn, in collaboration with rising vocalist Andre Graham.

Blending radiant pop melodies with Afro-electronic energy, Break of Dawn is an invitation to embrace spontaneity, let loose, and live fully in the now. With Graham’s soulful vocals leading the way, the song delivers an emotional yet liberating message—urging listeners to dance through the chaos and lose themselves in the magic of the moment.

“This song is really about freedom—emotional, mental, and even spiritual,” says Andre Graham, who co-wrote the single with Grady. “It’s about losing track of time with someone who makes you feel alive.”

The track was produced by Luke Goliath, with arrangement and scoring by Callen Petersen and Jody Abel of Acoustic Element. The result is an infectious anthem that effortlessly fuses Afrocentric grooves, lush synths, and live strings to create a sound that is both rooted and global.

Callen Petersen (violin) and Jody Abel (guitar and beatboxing) have redefined live performance with their genre-fusing project, Acoustic Element. Known for seamlessly blending classical strings with Afro-house, deep house, and pop elements, the duo has become one of South Africa’s most successful musical exports. Since leaving behind their corporate careers in 2015, Acoustic Element has toured in 10 countries across 17 cities—playing everything from intimate destination weddings in Lake Como and Corfu to performing for 37,000 people in Düsseldorf.

Their 2024 European summer tour with Gasteiner Infinity included appearances at festivals like Lido Sounds in Linz, sharing the stage with Kings of Leon, Milky Chance, and The Kooks. At home, the duo are staples on the elite events circuit, performing for global icons such as Bill Gates, Roger Federer, Morgan Freeman, and Mariah Carey during their long-running residency at Cape Town’s One&Only Hotel.

With Break of Dawn, Acoustic Element continues to expand their sonic landscape, exploring new textures while staying true to their innovative roots.

Andre Graham continues to solidify his place as one of South Africa’s most promising young artists. Since his 2020 debut with Lie to Me, he’s gained recognition for his heartfelt vocals and songwriting skill. His impressive resume includes collaborations with Lloyiso, Shekhinah, Paxton, and international acts like Trinidad James, Eric Bellinger, and Grammy-winning producer Rodney Jerkins. Graham has also been part of elite songwriting camps and has worked with Grammy-nominated creatives like V Script and LaFlare A1, bringing both technical precision and emotional authenticity to every project.

His collaboration with Acoustic Element on Break of Dawn signals an exciting new chapter for both artists—and sets the tone for a season filled with rhythm, resonance, and unforgettable moments.
