Lee Cole’s ‘Mine’ Single & Music Video Out Today

South African singer-songwriter and producer Lee Cole has released his latest single, Mine, accompanied by a music video. The track is a warm, guitar-driven song that captures love in its simplest form. Built around an uplifting guitar riff Lee stumbled upon while playing, Mine tells the story of two people drawn to each other, with one declaring, “Give me a chance, I could be good for you.”

“This song is about shooting your shot. It’s about being direct with someone you connect with. Telling them: If you give me a shot, I can be everything you want. I feel like you could be everything I need. In a world where relationships are often weighed down by expectations and rules, sometimes love is just about being honest and clear,” Lee Cole explains.

Mine features a sparse, acoustic, and intimate sound, yet remains catchy and radio-friendly. Lee produced the song himself, focusing on keeping it plain and simple while ensuring the vocals and lyrics carried the intended emotion. “I could have taken the song in so many directions, but I wanted to keep it plain and simple. The challenge was making sure the vocals and lyrics really hit home. That they carried the emotion of what I wanted to say,” he adds.

The timing of the release is deliberate. Lee believes the world needs more love and open communication. Mine prioritizes connection over trends, offering a feel-good, vibey experience.

If Mine were a movie, Lee envisions a romantic comedy set in a cosy apartment, with two people laughing, joking, and enjoying the simplicity of being together. One openly declares, “I know what you need, and I’m willing to give it to you.”

The release follows Lee Cole’s recent successes, including winning Best Male English Vocalist at the Afr-indie Awards 2025, and previous hits like ICE=CREAM and Blind, which garnered over 85 million listeners according to Radiomonitor. His sound blends pop, R&B, and soul, making him one of South Africa’s most compelling voices. He has also opened for Robbie Williams in Cape Town and shared stages with Calum Scott.

Beyond music, Lee is a national rink hockey player, balancing artistry and athleticism with dedication.
