Nia Pearl Channels Early 2000s Style While Working on New Music

South African artist Nia Pearl, whose real name is Peleka Lwana, recently captured attention with a striking outfit inspired by early 2000s fashion. She referenced the iconic Cassie era and reintroduced boxing boots for a sporty yet chic look.
“I wanted to look cute but still be comfortable,” Nia said. “Sporty with a hint of sexy—that was the vibe.”
Fans can also look forward to new music from Nia Lo. Her upcoming project faced some delays but is nearing completion. “I’m around 70% finished,” she shared. “This time, I’m experimenting. While I love Amapiano and my piano audience, I want to explore new sounds and take listeners on a creative journey.”
Nia Pearl plans to feature both familiar collaborators and fresh talent. “I want people you know, but also voices you haven’t heard before—artists who bring something unique,” she said.
Live shows remain an important part of her development. Most of her performances have been private, giving her space to refine her craft. “It helps me sing properly, experiment, and improve. When bigger stages come, I’ll be ready to showcase this side of me,” she explained.
She also shared advice for her supporters: “Life is long. Be kind, follow your passions, and trust yourself. Don’t let anyone define who you are—anything is possible.”
Nia Pearl continues to blend fashion, creativity, and growth, reinforcing her position in South Africa’s music scene while preparing to share new sounds with her fans.
