Kenza Set to Release Debut Album ‘Music in Colors’ on 7 November 2025

Rising Afro-house DJ and producer Kenza is stepping into the spotlight with his debut album, Music in Colors, set for release on 7 November 2025. The project captures the essence of South Africa’s diverse dance music scene through soulful melodies, emotive vocals, and textured rhythms that reflect the country’s rich musical identity.

Born Keanen Leroy Bekeer, Kenza has spent years shaping the modern sound of South African house music. As a protégé of Sun-El Musician and a key member of the El-World and Under the Sun collective, he helped produce some of the genre’s most celebrated records. His collaborations with Ami Faku, Msaki, Mthunzi, Caiiro, and Mpho.Wav have earned him respect as both a creative visionary and a skilled producer.

With Music in Colors, Kenza steps forward as a fully realized artist. The album bridges intimacy and innovation, rhythm and reflection, offering a journey through sound that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. Following earlier releases like “Sihlobo Sami” featuring Ami Faku and his 2021 EP Fly Away, this full-length project marks a turning point in his career.

The album blends Afro-house and 3-step influences into a cohesive story that moves between joy and contemplation. Each track carries its own emotional weight, unified by Kenza’s signature production style—lush harmonies, layered percussion, and atmospheric detail.

The project features a strong lineup of collaborators, including Msaki, Ami Faku, Simmy, and Mthunzi, alongside producers Heavy-K, Sun-El Musician, and Mpho.Wav. Together, they create a soundscape that embodies unity, diversity, and musical sophistication.

The standout track “Uyibonani” featuring NatashaMD anchors the album. Built around Afro-fusion rhythms and deep house textures, the song explores themes of connection and perception. NatashaMD’s vocals add emotional depth, making the track both introspective and immersive.

Kenza’s recent single “Ungaele” featuring Essa Kay, released on 17 October, has already built strong momentum ahead of the album launch. The song earned a spot on Apple Music’s Big 5, signaling growing anticipation for the full project. Its warm reception shows that listeners are ready for the next phase of Kenza’s evolution.

With Music in Colors, Kenza redefines Afro-house for a new generation. He blends traditional elements with electronic precision, crafting music that speaks to identity, emotion, and creativity. The album stands as both a tribute to South African sound and a bold step toward the future of global dance music.
