The song was written in their apartment and completed alongside Jacques Du Plessis at High Seas Studio. It reflects the twins’ personal journey as independent artists – the grind, the faith, and the unwavering belief that their story is far from finished. “We wanted to write something personal to our career so far, the importance of having faith, and believing in yourself,” they add.
2025 has been a landmark year for the Saxby Twins. They performed internationally for the first time in Madeira, took the stage at Rocking the Daisies, were part of the lineup at every Springbok home fixture, and achieved personal milestones from the Half Ironman to the Two Oceans Ultra and HYROX. “We’ve always loved challenging ourselves and want to inspire people,” they say. “Every year we want to look back knowing it was the best year of our lives, and that the next one will be even better.”
As December progresses, the duo is preparing for a countrywide tour, using You’ll Find The Light as a final celebration of the year. They are also planning for 2026, which they describe as their boldest year yet. “We’re building our brand as independent artists, planning a global tour, and continuing to inspire individuals. 2026 will be our breakthrough – we believe that with everything in us.”
For the festive season, the twins embrace family, connection, and celebration. Christmas in their home includes a big braai, endless snacks, and enjoying time with loved ones. “We love the nostalgia of it all,” they say. “Handing out presents and seeing our little cousins’ faces light up always takes us back to when we were younger.” While mince pies remain their favourite seasonal treat, they are already focused on new goals. Their 2026 resolutions include raising the bar with their music, continuing personal fitness challenges, completing their first international tour, and releasing music that resonates globally – all while staying true to their vision and belief in themselves.
