Radio Presenter Zola Mhlongo Launches Uplifting Single ‘Vuka’

Radio presenter Zola Mhlongo from KwaZulu-Natal describes hearing her own voice on-air as a surreal experience. The 31-year-old recently released her latest single, Vuka, marking the first chapter of a deeply personal musical journey.

Zola, who co-hosts Weekend Breakfast Sounds Good alongside Somizi Mhlongo and is also the mother of DJ Prince KayBee’s child, collaborated with seasoned producer Phila Koshin on the track. She praised Koshin for his experience and guidance, saying it gave her confidence in exploring her sound.

Vuka was designed as an uplifting, feel-good track aimed at bringing joy to listeners. Zola explained that the collaboration inspired her to explore more musical opportunities. She hopes the song motivates people to pursue their dreams without delay, emphasizing that “the time is now.”
