South African R&B Star Xowié Releases ALLO Deluxe, Expanding Her Emotional and Sonic Vision

South African R&B singer-songwriter Xowié has released ALLO Deluxe today via Exodus Records, an expanded edition of her acclaimed debut ALLO (A Little Long Overdue). The deluxe edition offers a deeper, more emotionally layered experience, highlighting sharper storytelling, greater self-awareness, and a confident sonic direction that confirms Xowié’s rising presence in global R&B.

Named Apple Music’s “Up Next” artist for May 2025, Xowié first introduced herself with ALLO, capturing attention as a compelling new voice. ALLO Deluxe sees her fully embracing her creative power, exploring themes of love, boundaries, and self-definition with quiet confidence. While her earlier work carried romantic vulnerability, this edition presents a voice matured by experience and introspection.

The project is executive produced by Grammy-winning Andre “DreBombay” Harris, renowned for his work with Kehlani, Alicia Keys, Jazmine Sullivan, and Justin Timberlake. DreBombay produced four of the six tracks and collaborated closely with Xowié in South Africa, translating her emotional storytelling into a globally resonant sound.

The standout track, “No One,” is a reggae-inflected R&B collaboration with Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy. The song blends Xowié’s soulful vulnerability with Stonebwoy’s rhythmic confidence, creating a nostalgic yet fresh sound. Xowié reflected on the track, saying, “I grew up listening to reggae through my dad’s playlist. To finally make this kind of song and have someone like Stonebwoy on it felt full circle.” Stonebwoy added, “From the first listen, I felt the emotion in this song. It’s honest and grounded, and I’m proud to stand beside Xowié as she takes her sound to the world.” A visualizer for “No One” extends the track’s intimacy through soft, cinematic imagery.

ALLO Deluxe affirms Xowié’s authorship and creative vision. Tracks like “Brown Sugar” and “No One” explore romance and tenderness, while “My Time” and “Say It” demonstrate strength and boundary-setting. The project represents a defining moment for Xowié, establishing her identity as a storyteller, an artist, and a woman with clarity and conviction.

“Most of the time, the things I write about are conversations I’ve already had,” Xowié explains. “Sometimes, I even write from the other person’s perspective. That kind of honesty helps me stay connected to the story and to myself.”

ALLO Deluxe positions Xowié as a confident, evolving voice in R&B, blending emotional depth with a polished, internationally appealing sound, and marking her as one of South Africa’s most exciting artists to watch.
