The House DJ’s (Malumz on Deck) Finally get recognition with their new release “Inhliziyo” – Mandla Mtshali and Oscar Nyathi both expressed in an interview with TshisaLIVE about the deprivation of getting recognition in the House music industry. The pair described trying to be part of the core of the music industry as laborious but they had the tenacity to materialise their dream. This took two years of consistency, discipline and hard work with a never “giving up” spirit to eventually make it to the spotlight.
“Entering the mainstream of the music industry was never easy but we kept trying. We failed for two years but we eventually got it right by learning from our mistakes and understanding what the media space requires. We are a goal-driven duo aiming to make a difference in the music industry by introducing a new indigenous house music sound,” they stated.
The duo with their fresh single “Inhliziyo,” have been receiving love from the public. You wonder what they did to make the banger “lit”, was it demanding? When things go wrong in your life, you try a different approach they said. Their main opposition with the song was enabling the track to work with Toshi, she was occupied but she finally came through.
“Inhliziyo is more of a different approach project, meaning the sound and the direction of making this song was on its own level. We were testing how diverse we are in our sound and it worked as it has managed to be our first song that has been released overseas. The listeners are enjoying it and it’s playing in every province in SA plus we expect it to be big around the Easter period,” they stated.
Their project, Inhliziyo is unconventional, the direction and the course of the sound and the rhythm is different and people are loving it.
