It was expected to be “Lit” but the festival that has been stained by a rights debate and reproval of its “unjazz” line-up established on Friday and was concluded on Sunday.
According to the Sowetan Live, It was hosted by New Orleans-based company International Arts Solutions (IAS). The line-up incorporated simultaneously local and international, the likes of prominent stars such as Pieces of Dream, Third World, Rahim Davon, Amanda Black, Sipho Hostix Mabuse, Ernie Smith, Lady Zamar and Mi Casa.
As per expectation, Amanda Black and Nasty C were BOOKED to showcase their act on Friday. In which they did show up in time for a sound check. Unfortunately were sent back to never return for their actual performances due to poor attendance.
Ability Ngcobo, Stage and technical manager, affirmed the claims that artists were instructed not to come back following sound check on Friday due to the numbers of attendees.
