1. Anga ( NaaqMusiq)

He has gone through it all. In terms of acting, Anga has done a lot of projects from Generations as MJ Memela a son of Mawande and Sibusiso, he went on to work with one of the famous household names in the acting industry, The Fergusons. He was one of the lead actors in their hit drama Igazi which was one of Mzansi’s Magic most-watched show on Dstv and it scooped many awards and bagged a lot of nominations.

2. Marah Louw

Marah Louw (also known as Marah Louw Thomson and commonly misspelt as Mara Louw) is a South African singer and actress who began singing at the age of 10 with the choir Imilonji Kantu.

In 1973 she joined Caiphus Semenya’s musical, Meropa and toured Japan, Hong Kong, The Philippines, South Africa and London and sang for the Queen at a Royal Command Performance in 1975.

She has acted in so many productions, Muvhango, Marah also starred in the Mzansi Magic miniseries Life Father Like Son, which was developed as part of the Lokshin Bioskop Series strand. In 2016 she began starring in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Queen.

3. Kelly Khumalo

Kelly’s first television acting role was on the SABC1 drama series Mtunzini.com. Then, when the youth soapie Rhythm City started on e.tv in 2007, she was chosen to play Sunay, the role of a singer, which was very close to her own persona as a singer. She returned to the show in June 2012.

Kelly also features in one of the Mzansi Love dramas that aired on e.tv in August 2012. Also in 2012 she starred in the second season of the e.tv docu-reality series Rolling With…, which documents her life as she tries to reclaim her crown as the queen of South African popular music.

In 2015 she was one of the three featured celebrities on the e.tv reality series Reality Check, in which she – along with iFani and Chomee – had to do good deeds for charity.

4. Candy Tsa Mandebele

Candy Tsa Mandebele is one of the most authentic stars we have in Mzansi, always being real about her life and her struggles, and having recently bagged a role on Giyani: Land Of Blood, she opened up about how hard it was to read her scripts. Candy plays the role of a flamboyant village shebeen queen, Diana, complete with the “Shoprite-like eyebrow pencil drawn eyebrows” and a loud personality to match. Fans have welcomed her character with love and she’s one of the people that have stood out as authentic in a cast full of stars.

5. L’vovo

THIS year seems to have ushered in new fortunes for veteran kwaito star, Lvovo Derrango. His dreams of getting more TV gigs are becoming a reality. L’vovo (real name Thokozani Ndlovu) stared in Mzansi Magic drama series, eHostela, as Nhlamvukayigeji.
