Black Coffee was in the news recently after he was under fire on Sunday for allegedly not saying anything after a former employee stated an abuse incident to her about another former employee. The former employee states that she has reached out to the music producer. The employee also states that the other former employee was also abusive towards other people that worked at Black Coffee’s recording label.
“I have reached out to you before. You know about Amaru and what he did to me. You never said a word. Maybe it wasn’t your place…but yeah…Amaru as a manager at Soulistic Music was abusive to not only me but many people that worked there and if he didn’t like you, you would get fired. Nathi knew about this. What did he do? I love him, always looked up to him as a big brother but he let us down…,” says the former employee Bonnie. Black Coffee thus responded to Bonnie by stating that she stopped working at the recording label I 2016 after she told him that she was not happy with the former manager’s treatment, he also speaks about Bonnie and the recording label’s former manager working together after what she told him. Bonnie clarified her statement further.
The artist got backlash from social media to which he supposedly responded “Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.” The artist went on to state his relationship with Amaru and Bonnie since the incident. Black Coffee went on to state that Bonnie resigned from his recording label after she stated that the former manager was [narcissistic], emotionally abusive & difficult to work with. He also states his own legal dispute with Amaru that started in 2018 which got his employment at the label terminated. “He went on to start his own Agency and the first employee in this agency was in fact [Bonnie] I don’t have any kind of relationship with Amaru since our 2018 fallout [Bonnie] knows this. I was only made aware of the rape allegations [through] social media. He concluded that he believes Bonnie and was sorry that system let her down. The former employee replied to the thread by Black Coffee.
