Last week, Prince Kaybee had some good advice for aspiring musicians on his tweet list. However, some people on the social media platform thought that he was subbing amapiano DJs. Some of the social media users went on to defend amapiano DJs, especially Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, but the house music DJ didn’t mention any specific name.
DJ Maphorisa also came in defence mode, to defend Kabza De Small. He felt as if Prince Kaybee was going after the amapiano king. “I hope he is not talking about Kabza I pray,” says DJ Maphorisa. The artist went on to speak about how Kabza De Small taught him amapiano, which he then passed on to Mas Musiq. He states that he did not bend the rules.
“Can someone school house heads amapiano rules ‘I am still a house head though [don’t] get me [wrong]’…Note…We [don’t] Master ipiano…The kicks [and] the drums must be low so iLogDrum ishaye…Kabza taught me this I didn’t bend [the] rules…I taught Ms Musiq [the] same thing,” says DJ Maphorisa. Prince Kaybee has not responded to the tweet as of yet to DJ Maphorisa’s tweet.
