WATCH: New Political Qgom Single “Ubaba Ka Duduzane” By Tboy Daflame
Wits Medical student Thabo Moagi also known as TBoy DaFlame has released a music video for his qgom single that has caught everyone’s attention uBaba KaDuduzane.
The single is inspired by the events that occur in Parliament, Duduzane is the son of President Jacob Zuma who is a business associate with the Guptas. The video is as entertaining as the song, it shows some of the parliamentary scenes, TV shows scenes and mostly a part where the EFF leader Julius Malema address to the President as Baba Ka Duduzane, also shows a variety of people dancing until they drop.
TshisaLive interviewed the overnight sensation who claimed that he has been doing music for over eight years but its only now he has done something that really drew attention to himself. “I have been making music for eight years but this is the first time that one of my songs have spread so quickly. It is trending and people are doing dance challenges to it. It is incredible. I think that it is so popular because people can relate to it,” he said.
The student did however stress that the song is not a political statement but another way to educate people about current affairs in an entertaining way.”I try to keep up with the latest politics and when I was watching the clip of the EFF in parliament I thought it would make for a great song. I always try to educate people while entertaining them and so in that way they are aware of current affairs while still being able to laugh, or dance,” he added.
