Mo Molemi Supposedly Closes His Farmers’ Market Temporarily Because Of Theft. Three months ago hip hop artist and now businessman, Mo Molemi opened up his own farmers’ market.
Three months ago hip hop artist and now businessman, Mo Molemi opened up his own farmers’ market. The market was opened up in the North West. However, the hip hop artist was coerced into closing down the shop for some time.
The farmer had close after getting several break-ins. He told news publication Daily Sun that he had lost about R20 000 due to stealing. The hip hop artist says that since they opened their doors, the market has had two break-ins and one attempt. The thieves supposedly managed to take down the alarm system and the security company didn’t notice it. The people stole certain items such as the cash register, a few stock items, gazebo, wrapping machine, equipment and a vacuum sealer.
“It has become a liability to continue in the current space. The location is ideal but I’m running at a loss due to crime. Although this has been a huge setback, it has not discouraged me because I have a great client base that knows what I have to offer. I have taken my business online until I find suitable space,” says Mo Molemi. The hip hop artist says that the farmers’ market has been something that he was working on for some time.
