The singers shared that they will release the first single of the album which is not yet revealed and the album will follow up. They further added that they still need to hold a meeting to decide on the dates of release for both the single and the album.
“Next week we are sitting as a team and then committing on the tentative dates that we already have but I just wanna apply pressure on those that will be sitting in that meeting. I’m saying end of April, the first single will come out. And then depending on the rollout plan, we looking at the full album, let’s go mid May. August is also women’s month so it would be an amazing month to also drop the long awaited album”, said one of the group members.
The trio revealed that in their absence on the music scene, they were working on this new upcoming album. They shared that it took them over 7 years to complete the album. They added that they do not have a name for their new album yet as the name they initially came up with was taken by another artist. The album consists of nine songs and it is about their journeys that they took as individuals. Each person had to come up with 3 songs about their journey.
“It took 7 years or more… We have a name for it but we don’t wanna say it because on air, one of our favs took the name that we meant to title our album… So here you are see an amalgamation of journeys that people took as individuals and now they are coming back to say this is what I learnt in my voyage. So there will be 9 songs so the spirit was bring 3 songs from that journey”, said one of the group members.
The group will be adding their much- anticipated album to their already exceptional catalogue that includes their debut album titled The Soil released in 2011. The album became certified platinum. The last album The Soil released before hiatus is titled Echoes Of Kofifi released in 2016.
