Kwatio Star Msawawa Alleged To Have Bleached His Skin
Kwaito star Msawawa alleged to have bleached his skin. Kwaito singer and songwriter popularly know as Msawawa’s recent picture left fans speculating that he has bleached his skin.
It seems like skin lightening and bleaching is still a taboo. People are still judged and criticized for taking a decision to lighten their skin. A number of South African celebrities have been alleged to have bleached their skin including, musician Kelly Khumalo, Khanyi Mbau, the late Mshoza and Sorisha Naidoo just to name a few.
In a post that was meant to show love and appreciation to Msawawa for his contribution in the kwaito genre, people started a conversation discussing his looks. A Facebook page posted a picture of Msawawa and kwaito artists Mapaputshi with a caption saying, “Mapaputshi is looking at Msawawa Dlamini just to make sure he is not a statue or maybe he is a robot. Msawawa is now a yellow bone and as a kwaito music fan we will always love you Msawawa you gave us good music with so many memories”.
Fans took to the comment section to share how they feel about Msawawa’s look. Some were questioning whether the kwaito sensation undergone skin lightening procedure and others were making fun of how he looks. They shared that he might have used skin lightening creams to brighten his complexion. They also stated that they also could not recognize him. “Before reading the caption, I didn’t know who these guys were”, a fan said.
Additionally, one of South Africa’s celebrities that has been candid and vocal about their skin lightening journey is media personality Khanyi Mbau. She decided not to keep a secret that she has bleached her skin after critics were making speculations. Mbau had previously took to her Instagram story to share skin lightening tips and process for her fans and followers.
